						| When you are planning your conservatory it is very
important that you consider which of
the roof glazing materials is best for your individual
requirements. In the past conservatories were just
supplied with polycarbonate as standard due to that fact
that it is easier to install, considerably cheaper and
having a glass roof created a greenhouse rather than a
comfortable conservatory. But over the past few years
roof glass has advanced a great deal and has now become
						the more popular choice.

						| Glass roof glazed with Activ Blue self cleaning glass |

						| We recommend the four solar activated self cleaning
glass options; Activ Clear, Activ Neutral, Activ Blue
and Aqua Green but can supply any type of glass that you
						require.
 The glass option is
still the more expensive of the two but is preferred for
being a lot quieter, providing a full panoramic view of
the sky and letting more light in making the room feel
more open and spacious. The Activ glass we use as
standard also has self cleaning properties reducing the
amount of maintenance required to prevent your
conservatory from looking old and tatty. Please bear in
mind that in order for the Activ glass to function
properly it requires a fair amount of sunlight and a
minimum roof pitch of 10 degrees for the rain to
effectively wash away the dirt once broken down.

Click here for more details and a full explanation
of how this Activ glass works.
Polycarbonate on the other hand is cheaper and gives
more privacy from above without the need for expensive
						roof blinds.
